The Infant’s Vision

Oh! Little Blessed child, what have you done to me.

I am overwhelmed by the imperceptible power of your first glance.
The sparkle in your eyes, the little glance that you threw on me,
touched my heart deep with a secret cord made in a flash between you and me.

In those beautiful eyes, I saw the world deep and clear,
lovely and peaceful, pure and calm like never before.
Hatred and maliciousness was never there.
Patience and truthfulness was everywhere.
Though I saw a utopian world in those lovely enchanting eyes
but is it not the world we all aspire to live in.

Her glance grew intense and deep with every passing moment.
The familiarity in our eyes and acceptance between us
grew stronger with the number of days left behind.
The tranquillity in her eyes, the incessant smile on her face
gratified me and filled me with an eternal ecstasy.

I wondered what I saw in those twinkling eyes
Its intriguing look, oppugned in me an unhindered desire to know more about them.
In those placid eyes, I saw a paradise where I could find peace and strength
to win over the misfortunes coming on my way.

Oh! Little Blessed child, with what a content have you filled my life.
Your first touch made me rejoice like a newly born.
Your smiles gave a reason to smile.
You gave me hope when I needed it most.
You gave me light in the darkest of my days.
You gave me strength to feel the pain.
You lead me to the path of righteousness
through the loveliness in your eyes.
You gave me every reason to live life
the way I wanted to live.
